General care advice of your upholstery furniture

Modified on Mon, 29 Jul at 11:58 AM

Our Custom Made Upholstery is hand-finished throughout the product process, meaning it is not engineered but crafted with attention to detail. Any creases or displaced filling from shipping can be easily smoothed and redistributed.

To protect the frame, always lift the furniture by the base rather than dragging it.

For the best care:

  • Avoid sitting on the edges and arms of the furniture.
  • Place your furniture away from heat sources, radiators, and air conditioning units, ideally at least one meter away.

Regular maintenance is crucial for preserving both comfort and appearance. Reversible cushions should be turned and flipped regularly, similar to a mattress, to ensure even wear and minimize fading from sunlight.

We recommend:

  • Weekly: Remove, plump, rotate (where possible), and replace cushions. To plump a cushion, remove it from the sofa, punch it from all sides, and then drop it onto a clean floor. This helps maintain shape and comfort.
  • For back-fibre cushions, this process is particularly important on a weekly basis.

Furniture with a fibre wrap over foam offers a unique soft look and feel. Note that fabric may stretch over time, causing some creasing or “puddling” where it is sat on. Initially, cushions may feel firmer than expected, but they will soften and settle with use.

Avoid sitting on the arms and edges to prevent premature wear and tear

Care instructions:

  • Dry clean only.
  • Do not spot clean.
