To maintain the surface of your velvet upholstery, vacuum occasionally using the soft brush attachment and follow the direction of the pile to remove tiny dirt particles.
While Easy Care velvet is durable, it's crucial to address spills promptly. Excessive water can damage the velvet and ruin its surface. Absorb any wet stains immediately with a clean, dry cloth, pressing rather than rubbing to avoid crushing the pile. Dry thoroughly and brush in the direction of the pile.
Once fully dry, solids can be lightly scraped away, always in the direction of the pile. Note that the pile may flatten over time due to normal use; this is a characteristic of all velvet finishes, not a defect.
Short-pile fabrics, including velvet, may show pressure marks, which are natural and do not affect the fabric's durability. Our Easy Care velvet is tested to commercial standards for abrasion and is highly durable. Keep in mind that dark fabrics tend to fade faster than lighter ones.
Handle all upholstery fabrics with care.
