Fabric Care and Maintenance

Modified on Mon, 29 Jul at 11:48 AM

Rub Testing: Our fabrics are tested to withstand 40,000 rubs for domestic use.

Color Variations: Dark fabrics may fade faster than light ones. Cotton and linen fabrics are generally more prone to fading compared to velvets. Our velvets and linens are delicate and should be handled with care as they are not very hardwearing.

Pilling and Linting: Some fabrics, like cotton/linen mixes, may develop a layer of fibers on the surface, which can lead to pilling or linting. This is not a fault but a characteristic of the fabric. Regular gentle vacuuming can help manage this until the fabric settles.

Creases and Stretching: Our upholstered products are crafted to the highest standards. Over time, you may notice some creases or folds in the fabric, especially in the seating areas. This is natural as the fabric stretches with use, known as the ‘puddling effect’.

Stain Care: Our fabrics are not stain-guarded. Clean spills immediately with a damp cloth to prevent stains from setting.

Please follow these guidelines to ensure the longevity and appearance of your upholstered items.
